By Willing29January 8, in Swinging Online. I was just on our SLS and our tag line simply says "Fun Loving Couple" which is good but I was wondering if others here have better ones that are not too pushy or to lame. I know I can search online but was just wondering what you guys think the really good ones are that will attract attention.

I really can't say that the tag line usually is a big deal for us.

Of course, a funny, witty one always catches our eyes, but that's an ideal quality that I personally look for in a person that I will be around. I would say why not search profiles that are not in your area, and if you see a tag line that you just absolutely love, borrow it.

The likelyhood that person coming across yours and saying "They stole our tag line" is very minimal if any. If that thought comes from maybe a great time in New Orleans or if you're from the area, then if anyone asked, then you would have an explanation.

But it's a great saying so if you are feeling it, then go for it! One thing I would just absolutely suggest is that you make sure the tag line has proper spelling and punctuation. To me, that's a big turn off. While of course typo's do happen, just make sure that you take the time to check that!

And then, as, of course, as we would say down here in South Louisiana Laissez Les Bon Temps Roulez!!!!!! I think the best ones are ones that catch attention when you are searching for couples. The problem I have is that often I don't even notice the tagline I'll read the profile and it won't say anything to the affect, then after I send the message I notice the tagline and feel like an idiot. I've found that the taglines that have worked the best for us, are when we use our tagline to say where we will be "Hope to see you at XYZ Social on January 10".

Then again it may not have anything to do with the tagline but more to do with the fact that we are ed up for that social. I think the updated tagline just shows that we are actually active and keeping our profile up to date. The key there is to remember to update it, so it's not still showing that date a month later which reminds me, I need to go check that on ours. We change it from time to time.

Funny works but I am sure it turns some people off. Outstanding things people say in their profile. A friend of ours changes their profile almost daily, it seems. He's got a twisted sense of humor, and I find myself checking their profile every couple of days, just to see what he's come up with next. So far, my favorite tag line he's come with was, "Toothless man and hairy-chested woman seeking same It works though - they're a very popular couple We haven't changed our profile except for an occasional pic in a year or two I may need to consider an update.

If I like a tagline one of my fellow posters is using can I steal it?

I can recognized creativity, I just don't have any. This link gave me lots of laughs last night, and after reading them I came to the conclusion that it really doesn't matter what you say. I stand corrected. I misquoted the tag line above. I just changed ours to "Turning Moments into Memories". It might be too corny to leave but for now it's better than "Fun Loving Couple" which it used to say.

Although as many have said it really doesn't matter unless it is really witty like lets fight or the hairy chested woman one. Both of which are funny. I saw one once that said, "Taking a break. Oh, wait. Break's over. Who's ready for mind-blowing sex?
